“This song feels like the beginning of a film with a girl riding a bike through a village and I love it” - Isis (fan) on 'Shelf Life'

HEARTHY

Indie- folk artist and multi-instrumentalist

Hearthy (pronounced harth-y) is a Scottish/Polish singer-songwriter who grew up in Haslemere, Surrey.  She studied classical violin at the Hindhead School of Music before picking up the guitar as a teenager inspired by Taylor Swift's album 'Fearless', beginning her journey as a songwriter.

Since then she has independently released 2 singles, defined by a unique indie-folk style with ethereal vocals and co-produced by her brother Alasdair. Heavily inspired by folk musicians such as Laura Marling, Billie Marten and First Aid Kit, Hearthy is also influenced by her classical background and can be found playing violin, viola, ukulele and keys in her original music.

Her first Single 'Shelf Life' was released in 2021 and tells of feeling like an outsider in the town you grew up in. A punchy entrance into the world of alt folk with layered rhythmic guitars and haunting harmonies, it was met with positive accolades from small radio hosts and new listeners and proceeded the follow up single 'Flowers', a foreboding ballad about unrequited love. She has supported Darcey Hope music and Jethro Cooups and made various festival appearances including the Haslemere Fringe Festival, WestFest Molesley and FUSE International Festival Kingston. She is set to release a 4-track EP this year and is currently writing and producing new material.

She is a regular on the London music scene, playing the open-mic circuit and at the Bucks Head weekly showcase in Camden.
